Who are Cancellationplan?
Cancellationplan is a trading name of Travel Insurance specialists P J Hayman & Company Limited who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
Who is eligible to take out a policy?
Cancellationplan is available to UK* residents of ALL ages.
* UK is defined as England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.
Non UK residents - some limited cover is available to non UK residents who purchase cover whilst residing or staying in the UK*. For further details please contact P J Hayman & Company Ltd on 0845 520 1074.
Why do I need Cancellationplan insurance?
When your booking is confirmed, you are legally bound to pay the accommodation provider if you have to cancel your holiday as well as losing your deposit. Cancellation insurance is recommended just in case you fell ill, had an accident or were prevented from taking your holiday.
How long can I travel for?
Cancellationplan covers individual trips up to a maximum of 45 days long.
I have a pre-existing medical condition; will I need to go through medical screening?
No medical screening is required under Cancellationplan. However, please read the ‘Important – Medical Conditions’ which is shown in both the sales leaflet and Policy Wording.
How do I know what I'm covered for?

Who are the Insurers?
Cancellationplan Insurance is arranged by P J Hayman & Company Limited, underwritten by Travel
Insurance Facilities plc and insured by Union Reiseversicherung AG, UK Branch.
Union Reiseversicherung AG are authorised in Germany by BaFin and subject to limited regulation
in the United Kingdom by the Financial Services Authority.
P J Hayman & Company Limited and Travel Insurance Facilities plc are authorised and regulated by
the Financial Services Authority. This can be checked on the FSA's register by visiting the FSA's
website at www.fsa.gov.uk/register/home.do or by contacting them on 0845 606 1234.
Is the excess applicable per person?
The policy excess is £40 per party for cancellation and curtailment and £40 per person for medical repatriation & other expenses, personal possessions and personal money. The cancellation and curtailment and medical repatriation & other expenses excess is increased to £80 if the claim is due to an existing medical condition.
Can I delete the policy excesses?
Yes, for an additional premium of £8.00 per party booking, you can have the standard claims excesses (not the increased excess due to an existing medical condition) deleted. This is referred to as the 'Excess Waiver'.
How will I receive my travel insurance policy documents?
If you purchase your policy online, your policy schedule and policy documents are delivered to the email address you provide.
If you purchase your policy over the telephone you can choose to have your documents sent by post or by email, whichever is your preference.
Do you offer a money back guarantee?
Yes, if the cover does not meet your requirements, you can return the documentation within 14 days of the date of receipt, but before departure date. Provided you have not travelled or made or intend to make a claim, your premium will be refunded in full.

Yes, Cancellationplan has a 24‐hour medical repatriation service.
